Grupo Anaya launches two new imprints

Grupo Anaya, a subsidiary of Hachette Livre in Spain, has created two new publishing houses: Faeris, a fantasy romance imprint for young adults, and Petaletras, which publishes children's books on social issues.

Spain's leading educational and university publisher, Grupo Anaya, continues to expand into new segments, building on the 2021 launch of Contraluz, a publishing house specialized in fiction and non-fiction for general readers.

The creation of Faeris and Petaletras reflects the Group’s desire to bring the joy of reading to even wider audiences by embracing new themes and literary genres.

Faeris

Faeris specializes in fantasy, romance and dark academia for young adults.

The imprint has published four emblematic initial titles this autumn, including Asistente del Villano (Assistant to the Villain) by Hannah Nicole Maehrer. Ten new books are scheduled for publication before the end of the year.

Petaletras

Petaletras publishes playful, humorous books in Spanish and Catalan that help children take their first steps towards reading.

The books teach children about the world we live in by focusing on social issues such as equality and respect.

One recent release is El pequeño atlas de la intimidad (The Little Illustrated Atlas of Ourselves) by Mathilde Baudy and Tiphaine Dieumegard, which explains to young children how their bodies work, with UNESCO-approved content.

Since its launch in September, Petraletras has already published eight titles for children aged 0 to 8.
